bio
Lee Sjostrom has been making short films since the summer of 1999 in Los Angeles. Before that she directed and edited two films, one in Canada for CBC, the other one in L.A. From being background to some pretty impressive Hollywood films, Lee also did production design for features and edited shorts for other filmmakers before she came back to Canada in October 1999. It wasn't until 2005 that she got involved with film and video again. She's had a few of her many short projects shown in international festivals. Recently, Lee won entry level for a film for Filmaka... She's going to use the prize money to make a totally solo feature film!
As well, she was recently honored by Toronto's Mayor Miller for being part of a project painting Bell Boxes to beautify the city. She and her painting of a bicycle were featured along with the Mayor on TV news and newspapers... Lee is also in serious pre-production with her first non solo feature Film, 'Castles' once she gets funding.
